EXT - THE BANKS OF THE JORDAN RIVER - DAY
A lavish banquet is laid out along the bank. There are tables, tents, a grand assortment of decorations, and lots of food. People are milling around, conversing eating, etc. The atmosphere is festive.
John is standing with Murray, surveying the elaborate surroundings.
JOHN
I don’t know about this. It all seems so improper. So brazen.
MURRAY
A little festivity is nothing to be ashamed of.
JOHN
You’ve turned my preaching into a public spectacle.
MURRAY
Everybody will love it. Don’t worry.
