Make a Donation

. . . and make a great reunion even greater!

With our 50th Reunion plans in place, we want to raise funds to defray costs, which will allow more classmates to participate. Please consider helping with this effort.

You may donate as much as you wish. Any amount is appreciated.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. Is there a deadline for making a donation?
While there is no hard deadline, our goal is to set the ticket price soon, and in order to do that, we need to know the amount of funds available.
2. What happens to my money when I donate to the 50th Reunion Fund?
Your money is deposited into a checking account that was set up specifically for our SHS class reunion. The funds are held in the checking account until expenses are incurred.
3. Is my donation a tax-deductible charitable contribution?
No, the Class of 1972 Reunion Fund does not qualify as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. However, we have been approved by the IRS as a tax exempt 501 (c)(7) social club. So our organization is not taxed on the funds raised.
4. Can I make my gift anonymously?
Yes, you may. While we would love to recognize our benefactors as part of our reunion activities, we understand that some classmates may wish to keep their contribution private. Just let Linda know your preference at the time you make your donation. Your donation will be known only to the few members of the Reumion Committee.
5. How will my donation be used?
The Class Reunion Fund will be used to defray the costs for event venue fees, food and beverage, tax and gratuities, decorations, printing costs, other miscellaneous costs directly associated with the Saratoga Class of 1972 50th Reunion. If net cash donations exceed the amount needed for reunion expenses, the remaining amount will reviewed and the committee will determine its disposition, with a portion being donated to Saratoga High School on behalf of the Class of '72.
